Wednesday, October 29th, 2008Remit to further build brand awareness around the Cotton USA Mark
Cotton Council International, the international export promotion arm of the National Cotton Council of America, has confirmed the reappointment of Kaizo to handle all its UK press and trade marketing activities, following a competitive pitch.
Cotton Council International (CCI) supports the export of U.S. cotton, cottonseed and cotton products worldwide and manages the marketing and licensing programme for COTTON USA, the internationally licensed trademark for quality U.S. cotton-rich products.
The brief is to increase COTTON USA Mark awareness among consumers and key decision makers of the textile trade, and attract new brands and retailers to join the COTTON USA licensee programme
Stephanie Thiers-Ratcliffe, International Marketing Manager, COTTON USA said: “Kaizo showed a great mix of creativity along with strategic thinking. We have ambitious targets for consumer awareness of the COTTON USA Mark, whilst maintaining and increasing our trade outreach. We are confident that our plans will meet and beat these.”
Rhodri Harries, Managing Director, Kaizo said: “Ultimately our aim is to increase consumers’ preference for U.S. cotton products. The campaign combines a mix of traditional trade marketing techniques along with new digital activities to extend the reach and create conversations.”
The COTTON USA trademark is highly regarded and recognised globally. It defines the outstanding high quality of U.S. grown cotton.
The USA is both the world’s biggest exporter of quality cotton and also a leader in the research and development of better quality cotton fiber characteristics to meet the needs of today’s demanding consumers. CCI licenses the COTTON USA trademark to users and traders of pure cotton products that are manufactured from at least 50 percent U.S.-grown cotton.
