Welcome to Kaizo’s Digital News Release

July 28th, 2008

The digital news release is Kaizo’s way of packaging information in a way that delivers everything that online audiences want, whilst providing offline journalists with supporting material to the story in one quick and easy destination. Benefits include:

  • The release is sent as a URL, meaning no annoying attachments for journalists
  • Easily updatable to ensure information is up-to-the-minute.
  • Social bookmarking (the icons on the right) allow readers to link to and find the release more easily. Watch the video to find out more.
  • Multimedia content such as the videos on the right can be included. These can be embedded in a blog post or any website using the simple button on the video feed (click on the menu button to see all the info you would need).
  • High resolution images, word documents, excel spreadsheets of survey data or PDFs of marketing documents can be attached and linked to through icons on the right.
  • Added ‘Google Juice’ is provided by the tag cloud. This ensures the DNR is web optimised for journalists using search engines to find stories like this, or bloggers using Technorati to find posts on these topics.
  • Relevant coverage is included in a blogroll at the bottom of the page. Updated automatically, this provides readers with the very latest online coverage of the story with a roll of hyperlinked headlines (currently deactivated as the release has not been launched).
  • The DNR can be created as quickly as a normal news release and monitored like any other web page - allowing you to see how many unique users have viewed the page, how long they spent reading it and what information they downloaded.
  • Unique URLs can be created easily, allowing bespoke internet addresses for the journalists you see as primary targets.
  • High Resolution Images

High res images can also be included as thumbnails in the body of the text

These icons link to social bookmarking sites where readers can share and discover new web pages.
