Epson celebrates 40 years of innovation with competition to win the trip of a lifetime
April 7th, 2008Epson, the inventor of the world’s first compact, lightweight digital printer - the EP-101 - in 1968, is celebrating 40 years of image-making excellence with a landmark competition. The overall winner will receive their own ‘trip of a lifetime’, with fantastic Epson prizes on offer for runners-up.
- Entrants to the competition need to design the front cover of Epson’s birthday card, communicating the theme: “celebrating 40 years of innovation”.
- The image can be anything, from an illustration to a photograph, reflecting the broad spectrum of people using Epson printers today.
- All entries will be displayed in a dedicated online gallery, updated every minute.
- The overall winners will receive a ‘trip of a lifetime’ to the value of €5,000. Second place wins €1,000 of Epson products, and third place receives €500 of Epson kit.
- Hard copy or digital images can be entered into the competition, and entry information can be found at www.epson-europe.com/40.
Epson will create a montage of entries to display at Photokina, which takes place exactly forty years after the launch of the EP-101.
The competition opens on April 7, 2008, and the closing date for entries is July 31 2008. A panel of professional judges from the world of image-making will choose the winning images that most creatively reflect “40 years of innovation”.
