Up on the roof; summer party sizzles

Last night Kaizo hosted its annual summer party on the roof terrace of the Court House Hotel in central London.

When the heavens opened late afternoon, some of those less optimistic types may have been tempted to think the ‘Summer Sizzle’ may have turned into ‘Summer Drizzle’. But no, with a little help from

the gods – and from our incredibly versatile MD Rhodri Harries – the stage was prepared (and dry) for an evening not to forget…. and it didn’t disappoint.

Kaizo clients mingled with our friends in the media and distinguished colleagues from across the PR world and the occasional celebrity. The drink flowed more freely than Mel Gibson’s local boozer, while the platter laid on was a culinary delight that would have had Heston Blumenthal licking his lips.

Amongst the clinking of glasses, we were all treated to spectacular shows from a world class flairer (think Tom Cruise’s skills in Cocktail) and a magician who seemed like he’d just graduated from Hogwarts. While there was no such Hermione to offer us a magical pole dance, the end of the night drew to a close with guests leaving happy.

We would just like to thank everyone who attended and made it a fantastic night for all to remember. We all very much look forward to seeing you again next year!

Sizzling Secret Wars

We’re admiring our new artwork at Kaizo HQ this week, courtesy of London’s Secret Wars team. The guys headed down to The Kaizo’s Summer Sizzle last week to entertain some of our favourite clients, partners and journalists with a live art battle. Armed with black marker pens, the team transformed two blank canvases into graffiti masterpieces to capture how integrated communications is at the heart of Kaizo. Thanks guys – a great night and we love our new Kaizo artwork!

Boris, Banter, Booze and Journos

Last night the Kaizo team got together with some of our favourite journalists to chew the industry fat, find out what’s on their radars and of course, to have a good old drink! It’s been a busy couple of months (what happened to quiet summers?) and what better way to say thanks to all our press contacts than to have a little get together.

The second floor of The Old Crown Pub turned into a veritable media hotbed, with over 60 ‘ladies’ and ‘gentleman’ of the UK press in attendance. With everyone from Stuff and T3 to The Times and BBC, the quality of the lively chatter was second only to a drive by (well, cycle-by) appearance from Boris Johnson. Never one to stay out of the limelight, looks like even Boris wants a bit of the Kaizo media action!
